Numbering on Comments and Deviations in Quotes

Created by George Eccles, Modified on Tue, 18 Mar at 3:39 PM by George Eccles

Q: Why are numbers being added at the beginning of every line in the comments and deviations on my quote? How can I prevent this?

A:
The numbering appears because the comments are set to function as individual, clause-by-clause comments. This is commonly used for high-specification jobs to allow for specific comments on each part of the quote.

Options to manage this:

  1. Use the numbering: This system is intended for detailed, clause-by-clause comments, which is why it is applied automatically.
  2. Remove spare lines: This will turn your comments into a simple list without paragraphs.
  3. Use the Notes under Engineering: If you need paragraphs instead of numbered points, consider adding your comments under the Notes section for more flexibility in formatting.

This setup allows for both detailed clause-based comments or a more paragraph-style presentation depending on your needs.
